Neil Thacker, Information Security & Strategy Officer, EMEA, Websense

Neil holds 15 years’ experience in the Information Security industry with 10 years financial services experience in the insurance and banking arena.

He is a member of the ENISA Threat Landscape stakeholder group where he contributes to the EU agency program alongside CERTs to position the threat landscape, offer mitigation advice and threat analysis innovation.

Neil is also co-founder of the Security Advisor Alliance, a not-for-profit organisation formed to help security leaders in their role and offer free advice and tools to move towards improved risk and data-centric strategies.

Nick Graham, Partner, Dentons Law Firm

Nick is the legacy Global Co-Chair of Dentons’ Privacy and Security Group.

He specialises in data protection, information risk and governance as well as freedom of information, IT/e-Commerce, IT and business process outsourcing and commercial contracts. Nick advises across all sectors including retail, energy, manufacturing, banking, insurance, technology and digital media.

Nick has over 18 years’ experience and has been advising on data privacy since the days of the Data Protection Act 1984 and the early enforcement activities of the FTC. He has advised on all aspects of data protection including global compliance strategy, data protection assessments, data breach and incident response, information governance, international data transfers, customer data strategy, data retention and data exploitation in cloud computing and digital media.

He is also a regular speaker and commentator on the area and sits on the panel of Panel of Experts for Data Guidance (www.dataguidance.com) and on the Editorial Board of Privacy and Data Protection.

Nick was formerly in-house at Royal & Sun Alliance.

Sarb Sembhi, Director and Analyst, Stormforce

Sarb is a highly experienced IT security professional and Chair of ISACA Region 3 Government and Regulatory Advisory Sub-Committee, plus a member of the ISACA International GRA Committee.

He is also a member of the ISACA Cloud Computing Task Force and is a Past-President of ISACA’s London Chapter. Prior to becoming an analyst, he headed up a security practice in the City of London, and has been a Principal Consultant and Security Researcher.

Since his entry into the field of security, Sarb has experience in all aspects of security, as a practitioner, and as a contributor to the industry (through research and standards), including: a survey on Converged Security Management and as a contributor to the ASIS/ANSI PAP physical security management standard which recommends a Converged approach to security.

He also co-developed the Converged Security Management Maturity Model, which he further adapted to create the Cyber-Attack Response Maturity Model. In 2012, he contributed to the ISACA “Web Application Security White Paper. On behalf of ISACA, Sarb has contributed to several EU and Government consultations on Cyber-crime, Data Retention and Data Breaches.

Sarb is a regular speaker at Information Security Conferences around the world, including RSA Europe, InfoSec, HITB, BCS, ISACA, ISSA, ASIS, IPSec, IFSec, Gartner, Richmond Events Security Summit, Econique CxO Dialogue. Sarb is the founder of the International Secure System Development Conference, now entering its 3rd year.
